Separating announcements from records
A product announcement, a regulatory clearance and a conference presentation are different kinds of document. A press release carries what a company wants known, a regulatory record carries the indications cleared in one market, and a paper carries what was observed under stated conditions. They do not carry equal weight as citations.
Clearance in one market is never restated as clearance in another. Company results and export news are not evidence of device performance either.

- Are the presenting party and the funding source disclosed?
- Can the same claim be checked again in a primary document?
